“The quality and rigor of Convergent’s Pilot and Maintenance Reliability Programs are impressive and fill the void between traditional training programs and what a pilot or maintainer really need to know to stay safe in this industry. When I need to fill a vacancy in my flight department, everything else being equal, I’m going to hire the person with a PRC or MRC certificate.”
Robert W. Agostino Aviation Director Group Holdings Aviation
The Maintenance Reliability Certification program takes the proven principles of error control and tailors them specifically for maintenance technicians and logistical support personnel, focusing on the unique environment and demands of the aviation support professions. The MRC is a comprehensive human factors curriculum designed to provide individual maintenance and logistics professionals with a world class understanding of human error causes and countermeasures, all leading to reliable mission accomplishment.
The MRC courses are available online enabling students to complete them at their own pace or as scheduled workshops. Usually two days of workshop training are required to achieve certification. The MRC’s effectiveness is derived from three pillars of instructional design – deep content, sequencing of information and rigorous evaluation. Over 75 sources are being used to create this curriculum, and using multiple data sets from around the globe, objectives were developed to specifically target the leading causes of maintenance and logistics errors, incidents and accidents.
The MRC courses will be regularly updated as new research emerges and feedback from alumni is obtained and analyzed. We believe that this will make the Maintenance Reliability Certification the most current, relevant, and rigorous human factors training program in the world today for the critical work of maintenance and logistic support technicians.
In April 2010 the MRC program gained approval from the National Business Aviation Association as fulfilling the requirements for their Professional Development Program L6 (Leadership Objective 6). Any students that complete the program are eligible for the PDP certificate of achievement from the NBAA.
Remember, your technology is only as reliable as the professionals who maintain it.
